Paskamer, is an emerging curatorial platform for intimate gatherings and performative events. Operating outside the traditional white cube, we embrace the constraints of our 30m² studio in Rotterdam, where a blue-grey curtain with pink pom-poms creates both a playful backdrop and the necessary structural divisions for presentations and events.
On a content level, we focus on exploring alternative narratives within pop culture and fast-consuming media, aiming to create deeper dialogue and challenge conventional views.
Since opening in September 2024, we have hosted an inaugural event and launched a residency program, with three artists and designers participating over the next few months (with the first resident concluding its stay next week). Our current theme, “The Gift,” allows each resident to explore different aspects of their artistic practice.
A key component of Paskamer is “Rec/S,” our fictional character documenting everything in the space–from events to residents’ work. Through it, we experiment with new documentation methods, and it also promotes our events through social media and newsletters.
